El trabajo y estilo del autor en su libro Sapiens me cautivó, por tanto, estuve muy interesado en leer este libro.Su estilo sigue siendo fresco y retador al mismo tiempo, pues nos hace reflexionar sobre las ideas que plantea.Un libro excelente, altamente recomendable para todos aquellos que quieran imaginar un futuro no muy lejano.

Gran descripción de cómo hemos llegado a que las aplicaciones que usan inteligencia artificial conozcan a nuestro cónyuge mejor que nosotros mismos.No me gusta la teoría de los algoritmos biológicos, los sentimientos humanos deben ser más que conexiones neurológicas que se activan ante un estímulo, caso contrario la misma evolución los llevaría a perfeccionarse y todos generaríamos los mismos sentimientos y las mismas decisiones ante un mismo estímulo. El libre albedrío es parte de la esencia humana.Con la misma claridad con la que describió la evolución del Homo sapiens en su primer libro, describe su teoría de lo que nos podría esperar en pocas décadas.Recomiendo especialmente el capítulo 10 a los profesores de psicología.

Siguiendo su ejemplo previo con Sapiens, en este libro nos muestra cómo las prioridades humanas han cambiado al estar esencialmente superadas el hambre, las enfermedades y la guerra. Pero esto no es de ninguna forma otro “fin de la historia”, sino un adentrarse en lo que puede ser “la nueva historia”, que ya no estará controlada por las deidades, o el propio ser humano, sino por los datos, los algoritmos y la libertad de procesamiento de la información, que a juicio de Harari puede convertirse en la nueva religión: el Dataísmo.

Develador y hasta desolador en algunos pasajes, me he visto envuelta en un mar de preguntas que no cesa y que definitivamente se deben a la capacidad del autor de encaminar las reflexiones -con comparaciones concretas- hacia nuevos horizontes inimaginados por mí hasta hoy.

Junto con Sapiens, es el libro que más ideas interesantes para comprender el pasado, presente y futuro de la humanidad ha estado en mis manos. Es casi interminable pero inmensamente atrapante, con una gran habilidad para explicar conceptos amplios y profundos que pueden cambiar la forma en que ves la vida. Se lo recomiendo a todos aquellos que desean tener nuevas perspectivas sobre lo que somos y hacia dónde podríamos ir. Incluso recomendado para aquellos que creen en Dios, ya que Yuval expone sus puntos de vista con mucho respeto y siempre poniendo en duda sus hipótesis. Por todo ello, cinco estrellas es poco para esta obra genial.

Este libro lo he leído luego de haber devorado "Sapiens" del mismo autor. Al igual que el primero he disfrutado de una lectura muy bien documentada con citas de buena referencia que refuerzan los criterios expuestos por el autor.He quedado maravillado por lo expuesto y definitivamente recomiendo su lectura para entender mucho de lo que acontece hoy en día y podría ser nuestro futuro, al margen de que al final el lector quede de acuerdo o no con la idea del autor.

This book builds on the concepts presented in Sapiens and looks at te future of Humanity. It same some good concepts but not as deep and interesting as Sapiens. If you loved Sapiens, read this. If you haven’t read any, definitely read Sapiens first.

He encontrado en esta obra un motivo más de vida. Los alcances de sus páginas trascienden el sentido común. Nos envuelve con sus argumentos y nos llevan a realidades aun no descubiertas. Nos lleva de la mano a indagar los pormenores de un mundo humano en proceso de transformación. Algoritmos, IA, son conceptos clave para su entendimiento. Excelente obra. Muy recomendable su lectura.
